In preparation for the visit

The educational team of the Delphis association conducts a variety of educational and enrichment activities for both children and adults every year. The purpose of the activities is to make an introduction to the marine environment and the wonderful animals that live there, chief among them - the dolphins.

The Dolphin and the Sea Center team has developed curriculum for kindergartens, elementary schools and high schools on the topic of preserving the marine environment, getting to know the Mediterranean Sea and its rich ecosystems, and the world of marine mammals. We hold experiential tours on the beach and sea, enrichment lectures on human-dolphin relationships, sustainability and preservation of the marine environment. Visitors to the Dolphin and Sea Center meet the mysteries of the Mediterranean Sea through the eyes of the dolphin through an experiential tour that activates all the senses.

You can choose from the wide variety of activities in the tour program or plan a visit customized to the age of the visitors and the preferred content.

Education and teaching

The Dolphin and Sea Center is a unique educational center, which deals with education for the love of the sea and marine mammals in Israel and their preservation. As part of the tour of the center, visitors are introduced to the story of the Israeli dolphin, and through his eyes learn about the rich ecosystem of the Mediterranean Sea and the human impact on it.

The center has a variety of dedicated activities for students:

"feeling the sea": an educational program for kindergartens.

"The Israeli Dolphin": Tours to elementary schools.

Research tours for high schools: The exploration tour combines the worlds of biology, environmental science and ecology, and within it the students learn about the river and its surroundings.

Education faculties: Study tours as part of "teachers' rooms", or further training.

the third age

A wonderful way to get to know Israel's marine mammals up close is through an experiential tour at the Dolphin and Sea Center. The tours for seniors are divided into several types:

A visit to the center itself (which includes, among other things, an impressive display of whale skeletons and other marine mammals) plus a basic tour of the Lachish stream and an explanation of this unique habitat,

A visit to the center and an extended tour of the Lachish stream and the beach (including a discussion on how the stream, the sea and man affect each other).
