Accessibility Statement
The accessibility statement was updated on 13.2.2026
Delphis is a non-profit organization that works to promote the preservation of the marine environment and the protection of marine mammals in Israel. We see great importance in making our services and information accessible to the general public, and in particular to people with disabilities.
In accordance with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 1998, and the regulations enacted pursuant to it, efforts are currently being made to make the necessary accessibility adjustments in order to enable browsing and use of the site in an equal, independent and respectful manner.
The essence of an accessible website
An accessible website is a website that allows a person with a disability to browse with the same level of efficiency and enjoyment as other users, using the capabilities of the system on which it operates and through technologies that assist with accessibility.
Making accessibility adjustments to the website
Accessibility adjustments to the site were made in accordance with Section C: Internet Services in the Equal Rights for People with Disabilities Regulations (Accessibility Adjustments to Services) 2013, and the Israeli Standard TI 5568 based on the WCAG guidelines [Section 2.0]. The site was made accessible to Level AA, subject to changes and adjustments made to the Israeli Standard document. The site's content was adapted to work with assistive technologies such as a screen reader and keyboard usage.
Within this framework:
We ran the WIX Accessibility Wizard and fixed all the issues it found.
We have defined the primary site language and secondary languages.
We took care of the order of the content on all pages of the site.
We defined clear heading structures including semantics on all pages of the site.
We added alternative text to images
We used color combinations with the required contrast ratio.
We have reduced disruptive traffic on the site.
