18 kindergarten supervisors from across the country gathered this week at the Dolphin and Sea Center of the Delphis Association for a unique and enriching seminar, held in collaboration with the De-Gan Center.

During the day, participants experienced inspiring activities and in-depth learning on the topic of preserving the environment and learning about the world of marine mammals in Israel. The day began with an exciting activity on the beach and at the mouth of the Lachish Stream, which focused on experiential learning of urban nature. This was followed by a tour of the Dolphin and Sea Center led by Dr. Aviad Scheinin, director of the center, and Rafaela Babish, director of education at the Delphis Association, where participants were exposed to the activities of the association, the impact of humans on the sea, and the importance of preserving marine mammals in Israel.

Later in the day, a unique workshop was held with artist Evelyn Anka, which focused on developing environmental activism and reducing the use of plastic as a tool to increase awareness of protecting the marine environment. Finally, visitors experienced several practices for "bringing the sea into kindergartens." A joint thinking session was held to develop environmental education programs for early childhood, while adapting them to kindergartens that are not located near the coast, with the aim of bringing children closer to the values of sustainability and nature conservation.
