Artists for Marine Mammals

Artists for Marine Mammals
A selection of unique works inspired by the sea and the marine environment are offered for sale by the best artists.
Israel - All proceeds are dedicated to the continued conservation of marine mammals in Israel
At a time when the reality in Israel presents us with quite a few challenges, we at Delphis find comfort in choosing to remain connected to the sea, to our community, to marine mammals, and most of all - to hope. Despite the uncertainty, we continue to act with determination - in research, education, and raising awareness - to protect the sea and its wonderful creatures.
We congratulate the Israeli artists who have come together for the sake of marine mammals, and are offering for sale works inspired by the sea and its inhabitants. The sale is intended to ensure the continued operation of the Dolphin and Sea Center - the educational center of the Delphis Association, located in Ashdod, and which suffered a heavy economic blow during the war - as well as the continued operation of the association itself. The center has not yet had time to fully recover from the Corona period, when it plunged straight into the war, and today, without any government support, and depending mainly on donations, it is facing an economic crisis that threatens its ability to continue operating.
We believe that this connection to the sea and marine mammals through art - expands the mind and heart, and most importantly - is exciting. And hence, also motivates us to act to preserve them. The sale presents a variety of artworks by Israeli artists, in a wide range of prices. Half of the proceeds will be transferred directly to the artists, while the other half will allow the Delphis Association to continue working for Israel's marine mammals, and to educate the next generation to love the sea.
This is a rare opportunity to purchase a new work while supporting Israeli art and ensuring the future of the Dolphin and Sea Center and the continuation of activities to protect marine mammals in Israel.
*A donation exceeding NIS 4,000 will entitle the purchaser of the work to a rare opportunity to participate in a research cruise led by the association's researchers at a date of his/her choosing (based on existing supply).
Dolphin and Sea Center
The Dolphin and Sea Center of the Delfis Association has been operating since 2016, and is an important educational center, and the only one in the country that provides experiential guided tours on the subject of marine mammals and holds wide-ranging educational activities.
The center hosts tens of thousands of visitors every year, including kindergarten children and schoolchildren from all over the country, students, the elderly, people with disabilities, large companies in the economy, organizations, and more.
The Delphis Association is a non-profit organization (NPO), established by researchers, environmental activists and volunteers, who are at the forefront of activities for marine mammals in Israel.
The founders of Delphis are the pioneers of research in this field in Israel and have accumulated and proven experience in the field for nearly a century.
